Description
These unique pieces are a perfect catchall, center piece or accent for elevating a glass vase. I'm finding the form useful in my own home to bring attention to a particular space.
Joe Shepard creates these amazing little works of art, combining his prowess for ceramics with his innate affinity to abstract expressionist painting. Handbuilt with white stoneware clay and carved when dry. By applying and then wiping off the carvings are 'stained' with several different underglazes. Each is then dipped and fired.
